How to Own Your Value and Worth

To begin to manifest what we desire and go after creating what we want to create, the biggest barrier is not a lack of intelligence, commitment or motivation, but usually, a subconscious lack of self worth and belief in ourselves. I’ve experienced this personally and with many private clients that I’ve worked with.

We have so much inner resistance to the change we want to call into our life that the things we manifest become a reflection of the doubt, fear and worry that resides inside of us.

When you know your worth, this is when you will see profound changes in your life and can make those quantum leaps in reaching your goals. In this article today, I’ll look at some of the steps you can take to own your value and worth and go after your dreams!

Connect you Your Heart

In the rapid pace of today’s world, so many of us live on autopilot. We’re constantly bombarded by technology, media and the opinions of others that we lose sight of who we are and what we want - in our hearts. We work in jobs we don’t love, find ourselves in relationships that don’t serve us and suffer the consequences of poor health. All of these create an impact on our self worth because we’re not living in alignment. Our wants, desires and dreams get blurred and we forget who we are at our core. A big part of self worth is therefore reconnecting to ourselves
and to our hearts.

I’d like you to take some time for yourself, disconnect from technology, ideally get outside in nature and practice awareness. This can be a slow walk, meditating or just being present. Notice the sounds, sensations and how you feel in your body. Tap into your heart and listen to what it’s telling you. This is where your head and logical thinking will want to override, but try your best to stay with your heart here.

Your heart has all the answers and it might tell you things that feel emotional or challenging to accept, but go with it. The more you practice this, the more you’ll be able to return to your true, most aligned self and as time goes on, heighten your sense of self worth. You’ll be able to see that your life - or parts of it, are perhaps not what you truly want and then you can gradually take the steps to change that.

Feel Through Your Feelings

To
know your worth is about fully accepting your reality, but without shame or judgement. When we resist accepting what has happened in our lives and working through the emotions that block us from manifesting what we desire, it’s only going to perpetuate the suffering cycle and we’ll create the same outcomes in different formations over and over.

To break through your blocks, you have to be willing to feel your feelings instead of avoiding them. Building self worth is also about the rewiring of our neural pathways (our current ways of thinking, feeling, coping and behaving) and being willing to feel, accept and release what needs to be released to create space.

How can you start to feel your feelings? Some tools I recommend include journaling or writing them down, followed by speaking them out loud and then (safely of course!) burning them. Every time you express yourself on paper and burn it, you are changing your energy and changing your life.

You can also try something simple such as listening to music or watching a movie that evokes an emotional response. Allow it to come through however it needs to, because this is a sign that it’s shifting.

Build the Muscle of Self Worth

Self worth can’t just happen through wishing you had more of it. You have to get out there and challenge yourself to do things differently from your old patterning and show your subconscious that you feel worthy of living the life you want to live - by living it now! Taking new steps will feel strange so give yourself permission to start slowly.

Let’s look at an example. Our relationship with money is so closely attached with our level of self worth. This could be using debt as a way to distract ourselves from what we really need to feel and release. If spending is something you’ve used in the past and created debt as a result, this isn’t aligned to your highest self who lives in the energy of abundance and embodies their self worth, because it means you’re repeating your financial past over and over. Building the muscle of self worth might therefore mean challenging yourself to hold money by keeping a $50 note in your wallet at all times and not spending it. It might also mean accepting your financial reality and creating a plan to help you eliminate the debt and working towards financial freedom.

This mirrors the actions of someone who feels worthy of wealth and
living the life they desire, and so taking those actions that support this is building that muscle and reprogramming your patterning around money.

It could also mean stepping out of your comfort zone bit by bit and trying new things. Exploring, connecting and taking yourself out of the narrative of the life you’re living in right now. Again, this creates those new neural pathways and you begin to discover new parts of yourself. Both confidence and competence comes by doing and the more you build this muscle, the more self worth you’ll start to authentically feel and embody!

Trust Yourself

Trusting yourself – and your heart, is a key part of creating the life you desire. To know your worth is to trust and go out there and do whatever you feel called to do without negotiating yourself away. You might be swayed by the opinions or expectations of others, society or what your head thinks you ‘should’ do. When you choose not to be the driver of your own life though, something else will suffer along the way, whether this be your money, your relationships or your health and wellbeing.

This is why practicing that deep level of awareness and self-connection is key. To listen to your heart and to
trust what it is telling you every step of the way. All you have to do is stay in that alignment and watch how everything opens up. Watch the manifestations flow!

You have to practice trusting your ‘Yes’. No one knows
you better than you, regardless of whether it fits into the box of what others want for you or even if it makes sense. Follow your heart, then bring in the smarts. Staying true to your desires and being ferocious in creating what you want to create is the essence of self worth and when you open up those energy channels to call in exactly what is meant for you.

Reset Your Money Energy for 2026 Every December, we all feel that pull, the desire to “be better with money next year.” But here’s the secret I’ve seen again and again after nearly three decades of walking alongside people from all walks of life: Financially wealthy people don’t just plan their next year — they energetically complete the one they’re leaving. They close loops. They clear emotional residue. They realign their energy field before they set a single goal. And you can absolutely do the same. As I share in The Emotion Behind Money , wealth is never created by logic alone. It comes from managing the emotions behind your money and understanding that money itself is energy. And in Awaken Your Wealth , I remind readers that energetic shifts begin when you consciously picture yourself stepping into a new reality, while compassionately acknowledging the one you’re standing in now. So let’s walk through the simple year-end process I teach my clients — one that spiritually, emotionally, and financially resets your money field for a powerful 2026. 1. Review Your 2025 Wins & Losses With Compassion Before you step into the new year, look back with the most loving, nonjudgmental eyes possible. I call it neutral observation . Wealthy people don’t spiral into shame when something didn’t go perfectly. They get curious. Ask yourself: Where did I expand financially this year? Where did I contract emotionally or economically? What choices were truly aligned with my values? Which ones came from fear, scarcity, or old patterns? In Awaken Your Wealth , the “Accepting Reality and Awakening” step of PACT teaches that awareness without judgment is how we break old money patterns for good. So breathe. Notice. Write it down. No shame. No spiral. Just truth. 2. Forgive Any Money Mistakes Here’s a truth most people never consider: Every financial mistake carries emotional weight and emotional weight blocks money flow. From my work in The 4 Spiritual Laws of Money , we know that your heart’s energy is more powerful than your brain’s logic, and intention is what redirects energy back into alignment. Forgiveness, of yourself, your past self, or others involved, releases stagnant money energy. Try this: Write down any money decisions from 2025 that still feel heavy. Place your hand on your heart. Say: "I forgive the version of me who made this choice. She/he did the best they could with what they knew at the time.” Forgiveness isn’t about letting mistakes slide. It’s about resetting your emotional money field so you can co-create something new. 3. Create an Energetic Closing Ceremony for the Year This is where wealthy people truly separate themselves; they honor the transition. You can create your own year-end ceremony using whatever resonates from your spiritual toolkit. Here are a few ideas inspired by the intention-setting and clearing practices throughout my work: Light a candle Symbolize releasing the old year and calling in the new. Write a “completion list” Include everything you’re ready to release: debts you’re no longer carrying shame over, relationships you’re energetically cutting cords from, patterns you’re finished reenacting. Burn or bury the list This physical act tells the Universe: “I’m done living from this version of myself.” In The Emotion Behind Money , we explore how inherited beliefs and emotional patterns repeat until they are consciously released. This ceremony is your line in the sand. End with intention Close with one powerful intention for 2026, aligned from your heart: “I choose a new flow of abundance.” “I trust that money comes to me with ease.” “I allow myself to receive the wealth I’ve been working toward.” As The 4 Spiritual Laws of Money reminds us: “The Universe responds to action.” Your ceremony is your spiritual action.
