If you’ve got a burning desire to make change in your life financially, I want to empower you to know it’s all available to you. When it comes to making our dreams come true, we all have the potential to reach that goal. Bottom line, there is enough financial abundance for all of us. No matter where you are right now or your financial situation, there’s no better time to start making headway on your dream and open up to allowing the money to follow.
The most challenging part of course is actually knowing
how to turn our dreams into reality. It’s all very well daydreaming about our greater vision, but we can easily get stumped on the part where we have to start taking the necessary actions.
Here’s the reality check; it’s no good just dreaming. We have to add a practical action component to it as well. In this article, I’m going to explore how you can start to really make those dreams come true to create what I call ‘real wealth’ in your life. This isn’t about just growing the number in your bank account, savings funds or investment portfolio. Your dreams have to be all encompassing and come from not only your head, but also your heart. Once these are in alignment, you’re building a solid foundation to create health and happiness in all areas of your life. Your money, after all, is a result of everything else going on. If you’re not making your dreams come true when it comes to money yet, we’re going to dig a little beneath the surface so you can begin to do just that.
It’s unfortunate that we’re constantly being told that whatever is outside of ourselves is better. There’s an underlying feeling that permeates through us leading to stagnancy and the idea that making our dreams come true is something that will remain a nice thought or only for other people who are better, smarter or more successful.
What you must understand though, is that this messaging is just a story. It’s up to us to truly accept and embrace who we are and build a financial infrastructure around that. I share many tips on how to do this
on my YouTube channel. You need to feel calm and collected about this infrastructure and
only then will it be creating a foundation to build upon in a way that’s aligned to your head and heart. When you’re in true coherence, this is when we can really get the ball rolling!
Remember, money is a reflection of everything else going on in your life. Your money isn’t separate to how you feel about your relationships or health, for example. It’s a
result of those things. The human heart has to therefore come into the equation when building real wealth because otherwise, you will experience some kind of financial suffering. I’m sure if you’re reading this, that will resonate in some way.
The only thing that is guaranteed in life is change and yet as humans, we’re so resistant to it. However, turning your dreams into reality is about being willing to shift gears and get uncomfortable. The most growth and the growth that leads to more radical results, comes with putting ourselves in situations or mindsets that go beyond our comfort zone. It will of course produce some anxiety and challenges, but I’d like you to ask yourself which is worse; staying where you are right now and not moving any closer to where you want to get to, or consciously choosing to shift gears and potentially create a whole new life for yourself?
If you have a calling to change careers, to get out of that relationship or improve your health, don’t negotiate yourself away from it. Your finances will suffer as a result and you deserve better. You deserve more. Make that change from an empowered place where you are
choosing it before a situation arises and you’re the one that gets dropped or let down and you wind up feeling like a victim.
Take control, switch gears and within just a short space of time, you’re going to see very different results!
When it comes to making decisions about our life and money, it’s time to start asking questions from a different angle. Ask questions that come from your
heart
and take the logical left-brain out of the equation for just a moment. Why do you have that investment or job? Why are you making that particular choice? Are these things serving you on a soul level? Even if it makes perfect sense on paper, is it worth the stress and anxiety it’s causing you? What would make you happier?
Asking these types of questions can uncover some gems of insight that will really help us to figure out just what needs to change to start making our dreams come true!
Similar to what I mentioned above about being willing to adapt and change, we also need to keep things flexible. Whilst I do agree that it’s important to have a goal and stay the course, this doesn’t mean we can’t be flexible. What I see so often with my clients is that they pigeon hole themselves and stay in situations that don’t align with their soul desire or calling because they feel trapped. Are your choices keeping you trapped in a life you don’t want to live? Is the reason why you stay in your job because it offers a retirement plan, or in that relationship because you rely on your partner financially?
We know through research that the day people pay off debts, their level of happiness increases. So here comes another reality check; when we proactively create financial flexibility in our life, we don’t have the need to utilize debt instruments. These instruments ultimately keep us stuck in jobs, relationships and situations that don’t make us happy because we’re stretched to the limit. We don’t change because we haven’t built any infrastructure for flexibility. The only way out of this, is to start thinking about how you can become your own bank and insurance policy. Consider for a moment how good that would feel!
Making our dreams come true also comes with saying no to others or situations. This, I fully understand, is hard. Particularly if people-pleasing is something we struggle with. The truth is though, when we’re constantly sacrificing our own needs, it isn’t helping us or the other person. Now, of course I’m not suggesting you decline to help out a friend or family member in times of need, but saying no to always bailing other people out or feeling responsible for getting them out of a financial hole they’ve created for themselves.
By always being that person who rescues other people, you’re not setting healthy boundaries and you’re also not allowing the other person to live in the expression of what they are creating. When you say no, it’s the most loving and empowering thing you can do for them because you’re giving them the space to educate themselves financially.
Most of our brain activity comes from our subconscious mind. It makes up a staggering ninety-seven percent of our thoughts and actions. Therefore, we have to work extremely hard on changing our subconscious programming to get different results. By you saying no, it’s helping the other person to change their own subconscious patterning and it’s doing the same for you.
Turning your dreams into reality is absolutely achievable, regardless of where you’re starting from. Once your head and heart are in that beautiful place of coherence, which you can begin to do right now by implementing the tips I’ve shared today, you’ll truly start to become unstoppable!
