Getting to a place of financial freedom is all about finding consistent money motivation that feels good to you. When we talk about the idea of ‘motivation’, that in itself can feel like we have to be strict, disciplined and do things in a very specific way to create the results we desire. If we believe we have to follow a generic motivational blueprint, that can feel restricted and not at all aligned with who we are and what we want on a head, heart and soul level.
The good news is though, it doesn’t have to be that way. The question of how to create a routine begins by looking at things far beyond just your financial life.
This might seem like a broad question, but it’s one I want you to really think about. Money motivation has to begin by looking at your life and lifestyle in its entirety. As I always say, we work things out or act things out and this is the same for our money, relationships and our health. If you’re sacrificing your health by burning the candle at both ends to make as much money as possible, although the number in your bank accounts and investment portfolios might be thriving, as a person you’re not. You might even be using your money to fund any health problems. It’s impossible to feel good about that money if you’re suffering as a consequence.
When you’re asking yourself how to create a routine of money motivation, it has to be one that aligns on every level. If you’re consumed with making money but at the cost of your health or relationships, what needs to change? How would you love your income to flow as someone who has time to take care of their health and to nurture their relationships?
So many of us lack a sense of contentment about how we make our money. I work with a huge number of clients who have an ingrained belief that making money has to be hard and that doing a job they love is a luxury. What this means is that subconsciously, they’re not feeling good about how their money is flowing.
To be in your financial power, you have to be willing to see things differently and begin to work on living in the present moment rather than on autopilot. Being in the present moment
financially means being aligned with your money that’s coming in and also, the money going out. As soon as you align the flow of your money in a way that makes you feel empowered, excited and positive, this makes the question of how to create a routine of money motivation from a practical standpoint so much easier. I talk a lot more about this
on my YouTube channel so make sure you check out my videos for more advice on this topic.
If you go to a job every day that doesn’t feed your heart and soul, you have to choose and decide that you can shift and change. You have to be willing to see that despite what your parents or society might have told you, there is a better way. There
is
an alternative. As soon as you make this mindset shift, you’re no longer an imposter of your life or your finances. This of course doesn’t mean immediately leaving your job, but it means you can look for new options. You’re energetically expanding and getting yourself on the highest vibration possible. This is the key to manifestation and creating a roadmap that’s in full alignment with what you desire from your financial life.
Even though your money - for now, is still coming in from the same place, the way you
feel about it has changed. You’ve shifted from lack, dissatisfaction and fear, to abundance and excitement about the future. This in turn, also inspires you to make different and more aligned choices with how you spend or save your money, which will all be part of your new money motivation routine.
Once you’ve reached a place of honesty and understanding about how you want your money to flow and how you want your life to look, this is when you can begin to implement some of the more
practical ways to create a routine of money motivation. When you’re considering crafting this routine, it’s important to have your goal and your core ‘why’ in mind. It’s from this deep desire that comes from your heart that will make staying motivated almost effortless because it hasn’t been forced upon you and you’re doing it from a place of choice and empowerment.
This might include an analysis of your spending habits whilst you search for the dream job you know you’re worthy of. It could be starting a side gig or creating a passive income stream that will expand your income potential. It could also be setting a routine that enables you to prioritize your health. Remember, a thriving financial life also means creating contentment and healthy balance in other parts of your life too.
Staying motivated and consistent with your money motivation routine comes with acknowledging and analysing what’s working and where adjustments can be made. Get
very
specific about your routine and what it involves. Does it include learning more about finances, a meditation practice, journaling, tracking your spending habits, setting aside an hour every day to work on a side project or job hunt, or working out in a way you enjoy 3 times a week?
Whilst there will be an element of discipline, because your money motivation routine has been designed on your terms, your goals will be far easier to stick to and will actually feel good to be working towards! Things won’t feel like a sacrifice but an act of self-love.
Schedule some time with yourself every week or month to check in and celebrate the wins – no matter how small! Reward yourself for those wins as staying in the energy of abundance is key to the process staying in full flow!
Creating a routine of money motivation and a thriving financial life doesn’t have to be hard and is something that you can uniquely design from a place that feels good in your head, heart and soul.
