Building confidence is a key part of your ability to attract wealth into your life. When you believe in yourself and your potential and you truly understand how to harness that, your brain starts to work in a more expansive way. You begin to create habits, rituals and make decisions that will all lead to greater financial success. The more confident you become, the happier, more self-empowered and magnetic you feel. It all starts with taking things step by step. Confidence doesn’t happen overnight but there are many tangible practices you can put into place to become more confident today.

So how to grow your confidence when it comes to making money and building wealth? In this article, I’ll share some key tips.

It all starts with your mindset and self-talk

Confidence starts with mindset and your inner dialogue. You have to train your subconscious mind to
believe that you are worthy of making money. Some tools you can use to work on your mindset include positive affirmations and by consciously focusing on your strengths, abilities and achievements. It’s time to be your own cheerleader; to see yourself through a different lens and to shift your mindset from one of fear or restriction to one of abundance. Regardless of your financial past, you still deserve to go after what you want! Take those learnings and apply the knowledge you have acquired in a positive way.

Another technique is to think about what your higher self would do. Take a moment to imagine your higher self completely embodying the essence of confidence. What would he or she do financially? What choices would they make? How would they feel about their money? What money making activities would they be working on? What type of lifestyle would they lead? What type of people would they surround themselves with? Asking yourself questions like this can help to anchor you to a vision that is in full alignment with who you want to become.

Get educated

Confidence comes with competence and when it comes to making money and making smart financial decisions, getting educated is crucial. After all, knowledge is power! Whether this comes in the form of books, YouTube videos -
such as my own where I offer an abundance of education around finance, seeking help from a financial professional, advisor or mentor, taking a course to learn a new skill that will set you on your path to building wealth or learning about the economy, investments and how to spend and save smarter, when you have this knowledge, it immediately raises your level of confidence. You can make educated decisions based on solid information and this feeling becomes addictive, inspiring you to then continue the learning process!

If there is someone you admire and who inspires you – perhaps in business, investing or even how they live their life, if they have resources available, study their path, look at what they have done to build their success and think about how you could apply this in your own life. This is all part of getting educated. Learn from the people who you aspire to be like!

Don’t be afraid to try new things

When I’m asked how to grow your confidence, many times I see people who are scared of trying something new -  especially when it comes to activities around making money and building wealth. Confidence can’t be built by feeling or staying stuck. The way confidence is truly built, is through the act of doing things outside of your comfort zone. You can’t be immediately confident at a skill - take a musical instrument as an example. The more you practice, the better you become and the more confident you feel. The same applies to making money.

Perhaps you want to expand your earning potential by starting a side business? The act of just starting and learning as you go will raise your confidence because you’re creating momentum. You’re now in the energy of abundance and with that comes a huge sense of empowerment. By trying new things, you’re expanding your self-awareness. You begin to understand more of what you enjoy (or don’t), what you’re good at and where you have potential to create real wealth in your life! Trying new things is also fun, it rewires your brain and opens up fresh channels of possibility.

Create money habits that are in alignment with your desires

Growing your confidence, making money and building wealth comes when you feel a sense of control that is in full alignment with your desires. You know what’s coming in, what’s going out, what is being attributed to paying off your financial past and how much you’re saving and investing. When you make decisions about how and where your money flows from a place of
fulfilment and satisfaction, this will grow your confidence about your ability to handle your money and to make more of it. I speak much more about this in my free book Awaken Your Wealth. You can get your free copy here and it’s a fantastic resource to guide you on your financial journey.

If you’re living in fear of the number in your bank account, feeling restricted to a budget or not living your life in the true expression of yourself, your finances are only going to suffer. As I always like to advise my clients; the goal is to become your own bank. Choose to take control so that your money is flowing in a way that feels good, purposeful and exciting! When you no longer feel tied to debt instruments, your employer or somewhere else that keeps you constrained within a container, this sense of freedom elevates your confidence!

Now you know how to grow your confidence, it’s important to have self-compassion and understand that it’s a gradual process. The key is creating momentum. If your job isn’t serving you on a head, heart and soul level, you don’t have to suddenly find the confidence to leave tomorrow. What you
can do, is build your confidence in small ways every day to take the steps to look for new options and opportunities. Open up the channels of possibility and seek out more of what makes you feel joy, fulfilled and inspired. Follow the clues and see where it takes you.

When you proactively work on your confidence and believing in yourself, you will start to notice those changes and life will start to feel exciting and brighter! This feeling keeps you motivated to do more of what’s working and to truly go after what you want.

Reset Your Money Energy for 2026 Every December, we all feel that pull, the desire to “be better with money next year.” But here’s the secret I’ve seen again and again after nearly three decades of walking alongside people from all walks of life: Financially wealthy people don’t just plan their next year — they energetically complete the one they’re leaving. They close loops. They clear emotional residue. They realign their energy field before they set a single goal. And you can absolutely do the same. As I share in The Emotion Behind Money , wealth is never created by logic alone. It comes from managing the emotions behind your money and understanding that money itself is energy. And in Awaken Your Wealth , I remind readers that energetic shifts begin when you consciously picture yourself stepping into a new reality, while compassionately acknowledging the one you’re standing in now. So let’s walk through the simple year-end process I teach my clients — one that spiritually, emotionally, and financially resets your money field for a powerful 2026. 1. Review Your 2025 Wins & Losses With Compassion Before you step into the new year, look back with the most loving, nonjudgmental eyes possible. I call it neutral observation . Wealthy people don’t spiral into shame when something didn’t go perfectly. They get curious. Ask yourself: Where did I expand financially this year? Where did I contract emotionally or economically? What choices were truly aligned with my values? Which ones came from fear, scarcity, or old patterns? In Awaken Your Wealth , the “Accepting Reality and Awakening” step of PACT teaches that awareness without judgment is how we break old money patterns for good. So breathe. Notice. Write it down. No shame. No spiral. Just truth. 2. Forgive Any Money Mistakes Here’s a truth most people never consider: Every financial mistake carries emotional weight and emotional weight blocks money flow. From my work in The 4 Spiritual Laws of Money , we know that your heart’s energy is more powerful than your brain’s logic, and intention is what redirects energy back into alignment. Forgiveness, of yourself, your past self, or others involved, releases stagnant money energy. Try this: Write down any money decisions from 2025 that still feel heavy. Place your hand on your heart. Say: "I forgive the version of me who made this choice. She/he did the best they could with what they knew at the time.” Forgiveness isn’t about letting mistakes slide. It’s about resetting your emotional money field so you can co-create something new. 3. Create an Energetic Closing Ceremony for the Year This is where wealthy people truly separate themselves; they honor the transition. You can create your own year-end ceremony using whatever resonates from your spiritual toolkit. Here are a few ideas inspired by the intention-setting and clearing practices throughout my work: Light a candle Symbolize releasing the old year and calling in the new. Write a “completion list” Include everything you’re ready to release: debts you’re no longer carrying shame over, relationships you’re energetically cutting cords from, patterns you’re finished reenacting. Burn or bury the list This physical act tells the Universe: “I’m done living from this version of myself.” In The Emotion Behind Money , we explore how inherited beliefs and emotional patterns repeat until they are consciously released. This ceremony is your line in the sand. End with intention Close with one powerful intention for 2026, aligned from your heart: “I choose a new flow of abundance.” “I trust that money comes to me with ease.” “I allow myself to receive the wealth I’ve been working toward.” As The 4 Spiritual Laws of Money reminds us: “The Universe responds to action.” Your ceremony is your spiritual action. Ready to Step Into 2026 Aligned, Clear & Empowered? If you’re craving deeper support with your financial reset, join me for my Emotions Behind Money Workshop in January. If you’ve been feeling the nudge to recalibrate your relationship with money, this is your moment. Let’s make 2026 the year your inner wealth and your financial reality finally match. You deserve abundance and you’re closer than you think. With love, alignment & a whole lot of possibility, Julie ✨
